Any human service that requires love cannot be satisfactorily dispensed by specialist institutions that exist apart from community.

I believe servant leaders are committed to the growth of the people they lead and the fruit of servant leadership is the maturity of those being led.

Courageous leaders are not frightened by reality neither are they phased by it. They would rather know than not know.

In my experience as a business leader (and a human being!) empathy is one of the most powerful forces for good at work in human relationships but one of the most overlooked.

The danger of not taking the time to listen is that the presenter ends up answering questions that no one is asking, offering solutions for problems that no one is trying to solve.

Servant-leaders don’t guilt people into change they win their hearts and minds instilling in them the desire to change and giving them a reason to change.

Servant-leaders understand that whilst the ultimate destination is perfection, today’s goal is progress.

The fundamental attribute of those who would aspire to leadership is the desire to help others.
